Understanding Diabetes

Abstract

Diabetes is a condition characterised by problems with blood sugar. The body produces insulin to assist glucose (sugar) entering cells. The cells use glucose for energy to grow and function. In diabetes, either the body does not produce any or enough insulin or it does not use insulin properly.
